Who We Are
Shandu Agri Project (Pty) Ltd is a growing agricultural enterprise based in the village of Ratjiepane, approximately 25 km from Hammanskraal in the North West Province. Founded on 25 October 2018, the company was established with a commitment to producing high-quality poultry products while contributing to the social and economic development of its surrounding community.
At Shandu Agri Project, we specialize in broiler and egg production, raising our chickens from day-old chicks to market-ready birds at six weeks. We prioritise proper feeding, responsible medication, and best farming practices to ensure that our customers receive healthy, nutritious poultry products. Our primary breed, the Ross 308, is widely recognized for its robustness, excellent body confirmation, broad chest, yellow feet, and rapid growth rate traits that make it ideal for roasting, de-boning, and delivering high meat yield.
Looking ahead, Shandu Agri Project aims to expand into mixed farming, broadening our operations to include livestock and crop production under the same company umbrella. Beyond production, we are driven by a deeper mission to empower local youth and women through skills development, job creation, and agricultural training. By doing so, we strive to help reduce unemployment, alleviate poverty, and address key social challenges faced by our community.
